Document Prep—Essential for Success

Document prep is the most important step in a paper conversion project. If your paper is not prepared properly, it can result in poor quality scans, project delays, damage to equipment or paper and incorrectly identified documents. The highly trained staff at ImageSource® leverages years of experience during this process. Though some client’s elect to prepare documents themselves, it is normally part of your paper conversion project and itemized on your personalized project quote.

The Scanning Hardware and Software We Use

We provide conversion services at our secure Olympia, WA facility as well as at customer sites. ImageSource's scanning services provide document security, specialized staff and in-house indexing to protect the information on the documents. For security purposes, ImageSource does not offshore any portion of our conversion services.

BÖWE BELL + HOWELL Scanners

Paper documents are scanned using BÖWE BELL + HOWELL speed production scanners for black and white, color and grayscale images. Each scanner is operated by an experienced conversion technician who specializes on that particular piece of scanning equipment. Our BÖWE BELL + HOWELL Spectrum series scanners provide awesome scanning speed with the best technology available in a high volume production scanner. The superb image quality produced by the Spectrum series means that you'll also receive higher accuracy for OCR, ICR and barcode recognition.

Kofax Ascent Capture Software

We use Kofax's Ascent Capture for image processing. Ascent Capture automates information capture from scanned paper or imported electronic documents. Based on criteria we define, the entire document or extracted data is digitized, then routed through work queues for processing. Powerful recognition engines and image enhancement features ensure accuracy, reducing or eliminating the need for manual entry and oversight.
