Microfilm, Microfiche and Large Format Scanning

We convert microfilm using the state of the art technology of NextScan high speed microfilm scanners for capturing film based images. The digitized documents are then imported into Kofax software for image processing and indexing, leveraging the power of this industry-leading conversion software.

We provide our microfilm conversion services at our secure Olympia, WA facility, due to the sensitivity of the equipment. ImageSource® has processed many microfilm and microfiche projects for a variety of government agencies and provide document security, specialized staff and in-house indexing to protect the information on the documents. For security purposes, ImageSource does not offshore any portion of our conversion services.

ImageSource uses the industry’s leading high performance microfilm and microfiche digitizing scanners—the NextScan SunRise and Phoenix series. The NextScan system offers flexibility and delivers superior image quality for more film formats and film challenges than any other single scanner. Its unique modular 3-in-1 design handles microfiche, roll film and aperture card formats and its user-friendly wizard guides operations effortlessly through film setup. NextScan's patented, continuous scanning technology allows the scanner to operate at its optimal level to achieve “high-speed” conversion for both bi-tonal and grayscale formats.

Large Format Scanning

The VIDAR Titan wide-format color scanners incorporate the best in imaging technology for high-quality color scanning and copying of the large format maps and drawings. The Vidar scanner's 42" imaging area can handle color posters, architectural sketches, detailed maps, and fine art from small to extra-large sizes. Vidar large format scanners are the perfect device for effective and reliable high-production scanning. ImageSource has several Vidar scanners and offer in-house scanning, or can deploy them to our customer sites as needed.

Kofax Ascent Capture Software

We use Kofax's Ascent Capture for image processing. Ascent Capture automates information capture from scanned paper or imported electronic documents. Based on criteria we define, the entire document or extracted data is digitized, then routed through work queues for processing. Powerful recognition engines and image enhancement features ensure accuracy, reducing or eliminating the need for manual entry and oversight.
